ESG Risk management and reporting strategy

An international insurer required effective, efficient, and global ESG reporting to meet internal requirements and to comply with SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD regulations.

What did we do?

• Analysed regulatory requirements focusing on data, processes, systems, and organization.
• For enterprise wide ESG reporting and risk management:
  • Defined As-Is functional model.
  • Designed and implemented To-Be data integration architecture.
• Defined ESG data governance, including data model and data service centre.
• Performed data vendor selection for EU taxonomy and SFDR data requirements.
• Replicated ESG Reporting chain with ESG reporting prototype to measure impact of data on ESG disclosures.

Results achieved

• End-to-end ESG reporting chain sustained by an extended F&R Data Integration Architecture and Operating Model and Data Governance Framework and Data Model.
• External ESG data supply by selected data vendor
